The Beauty of Africa

The beauty of Africa,

Ranges from the desert land

of the great Sahara,

To the great central plateau

known as the Sahel.

From the beautiful savanna,

to the great rift valley,

towered by the Kilimanjaro,

to the coastal plains of the west.

From the coastal plains of the

navigable Waters of the Niger

and Zaire,

To the equatorial forest of fine

timbers and Iroko for furniture

Of the central region.

From the beautiful giraffes

of the Kalahari,

To the chimpanzees of the tropics.

From the lovely elephants

of magnificent beauty,

To the handsome hyenas.

The great ostrich roaming

the heart of the Kalahari and Namib,

To the leopards and lions

as well as the antelopes

and beautiful herd oryxes.

From the Bantu speaking people,

To the land of the Zulus,

From the hunting Bushmen,

To the pastoral herders called Masai.

From fine arts of mask,

decorated boxes and ceremonial

objects, to music rich in rhythm

Interwoven with the fabric of

everyday African life,

To stories and poetries of heroes, kings,

and gallant sons and daughters

of Africa,

Interspersed with proverbs and fables.

The multicultural, but one

people mentality, makes Africa

the beautifully adorned continent.
