My life has been a haven for dark clouds
Marred by unfinished adventures and an affinity for lost causes
Never dark enough to start a storm, but not light enough to see how far
But someone says, “it’s a perspective thing”;
Even the darkest cloud has a color,
Even the widest bottom has a cover.
Clouds may be dark, but I am under
Not in the mist, it’s only but a shade
My life has been a haven for dark clouds
But beyond the horizon, a silver tint lies just nigh
The brightly colored skies over my broken dreams
The shades of hope for a weary soul
The golden ray to ignite the spark in a heart so faint
It gets brighter, lights envelopes darkness
And above all else, I find peace
At the point where the clouds and oceans meet
