For Those Who Lost Their Ink to Depression

in this poem

i went on a journey searching into me

for verses so pure & satisfying to every soul

yet & still, this poem is filled with broken lines.

my ink is still learning the ways to be holy

this means my writings are still crawling to perfection.

deep within

i know

there are souls craving to taste

these lines sleeping in me

so,

i never stop plastering my thoughts & emotions on a sheet;

i write to set myself loose from drowning,

for the sheet always hugs my pain.

& for those who lost their ink to depression

pick up that dead pen

& breathe life into it once again

but this time, let it live forever,

for we only die once.
